KiC members: WhatsApp guidelines
As KiC has grown, we’ve developed some guidelines on using the WhatsApp chat. Our aim is to balance what everyone values most about this forum.
Survey results, feedback from convenors, and direct input have shown a wide range of preferences among members. Some appreciate the research articles shared, for others it’s the opportunity of sharing their own work. Some enjoy in-depth discussions on technical points, others seek job opportunities, and many appreciate the sense of connection with like-minded Kiwi doing amazing things in the world!
The following guidelines have been developed to keep the Kiwis in Climate WhatsApp chat a productive, safe and engaging group for everyone.
1. Introduce yourself: New members are encouraged to briefly introduce themselves, including their areas of expertise and/or interests.
2. Provide a synopsis: When posting links, please provide some context such as what it’s about or who you think might benefit from viewing it. This will help inform others and foste more meaningful discussions.
3. Keep privacy in mind: Do not share anyone’s personal information without their consent.
